Long Term StorageOur larger quantities of Grains, Beans, and Seeds come in Carbon Dioxide flushed 6 Gallon Buckets. These 6 Gallon Buckets are FDA approved Food Storage Containers. They come with a matching lid that is sealed on during the Carbon Dioxide flushing process. When stored properly, your grains, beans, and seeds will last for several years. Harder items, like wheat, rice, and beans, will last for 10-20+ years if stored in the appropriate environment. Softer items, like seeds, barley, buckwheat, will last for 5-10+ years if stored in the appropriate environment.
We recommend that you store your buckets in a dry, cool, and dark place. Prolonged exposure to high temperature (exceeding 78° F) will cause your food to spoil more quickly.
