Hulled Barley is different from Whole Barley in that it has its hull removed. The removal of the hull is essential for cooking the barley in a reasonable amount of time for human consumption. Also, in this processed form, the germ of the barley has been damaged to the point that it will not longer sprout.

Basic Cooking Instructions: Add 1 cup of Hulled Barley to 4 cups of boiling water. Simmer for 1 and 1/2 hours or until done. Serve.
